Aqua Publica Europea welcomes the adoption of the provisional deal on the Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive (UWWTD) by the European Parliament yesterday. While some requirements remain challenging for water operators, the deal strikes a fine balance between environmental protection and technical feasibility, while introducing innovative provisions for a more equitable distribution of the costs that achieving new objectives will involve.

Aqua Publica Europea and WaterLinks have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote knowledge sharing and foster capacity development opportunities for European and Asian water utilities.

On 14 February 2024, Aqua Publica Europea organised an event at the European Parliament to discuss how we can collaborate more effectively in the sustainable management of water resources. The event also provided an opportunity to facilitate a dialogue among various stakeholders and government levels, aiming to clarify responsibilities and identify each party's role in realising this vision.
