Four New Members Join APE
Over the past few months, APE has been delighted to welcome four new members: Société Publique de Gestion de l'Eau (SPGE) from Wallonia (Belgium); Kraków Water from Kraków (Poland); Eau du Grand Lyon from Lyon (France) and Medio Chiampo S.P.A from the Veneto region (Italy)
SPGE is a public company created by the Walloon Region in 1999 to coordinate and finance the water sector in Wallonia, Belgium. The company plays a central role in wastewater management and the protection of drinking water resources, working closely with water operators and public authorities across the region.
Kraków Water (Wodociągi Miasta Krakowa S.A.) is the municipal water utility responsible for drinking water supply and wastewater management in the city of Kraków, Poland. With more than 120 years of experience, the company serves the city's residents while promoting sustainable development through renewable energy generation and environmental education initiatives.
Eau du Grand Lyon is the public water operator of the Métropole de Lyon in France. Established in 2023, the utility manages drinking water services across the metropolitan area under a public governance model, with a focus on providing high-quality and sustainable water services.
Medio Chiampo S.p.A. is the public water utility managing integrated water services for the municipalities of Montebello Vicentino, Zermeghedo and Gambellara in the Veneto region of Italy. Founded in 1979 to address water pollution challenges in the area, the company provides water and wastewater services while operating a major wastewater treatment facility serving the local territory.
