Acquedotto Pugliese finances the construction of three water wells in Cameroon
Acquedotto Pugliese (AQP) President, Simeone di Cagno Abbrescia, and the Board of Directors decided to finance the construction of three technologically advanced wells in the Cameroons region of Edea.
This is part of a collaboration project with the Italian association 'A hope for Cameron' which aims to raise funds to support the development of Cameroon regions. As explained by AQP, this is just a first collaboration as the final goal is to establish a long term cooperation plan which will include other activities such as the training of young Cameroonian at the Water Academy of Acquedotto Pugliese.
AQP cooperation project in Cameroon joins a long list of international cooperation projects developed by the members of Aqua Publica Europea. Since long public water operators have been committed to implementing strong not-for-profit partnerships to support access to water and sanitation in developing countries.
