This summer, AEOPAS (Spain) launched its campaign to raise awareness on the issue of wet wipes being flushed down toilets, with a playful comparison of their ubiquity to an ‘invasion’.

This issue is highly topical as wet wipes and other non-flushable materials are being disposed of improperly and thus accumulate in the environment, raising concerns from environmental actors and water treatment operators alike.
