APE and WaterLinks sign a Memorandum of Understanding
Aqua Publica Europea and WaterLinks have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote knowledge sharing and foster capacity development opportunities for European and Asian water utilities.
To enhance the capacities of water and wastewater utilities across Europe and Asia, Aqua Publica Europea (APE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with WaterLinks. This MoU testifies to the collaborative effort of the two organisations to foster knowledge sharing and capacity development initiatives in the water sector.
WaterLinks, headquartered in Manila, Philippines, is a regional non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing capacity-building programmes aimed at improving the operational efficiencies of water and sanitation service providers across Asia. They do so through various activities, including the establishment and facilitation of water operator partnerships (WOPs), organising local and international seminars and workshops, coordinating exposure visits at both local and international level, and developing knowledge products such as toolkits and sector research and studies.
The missions of WaterLinks and APE are strongly aligned, and we are looking forward to developing this partnership, notably through the organisation of a series of webinars spanning three thematic areas: (1) climate change adaptation; (2) sanitation and wastewater management; and (3) non-revenue water (NRW) management.
These webinars will serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, fostering dialogue and exploring solutions to common challenges faced by water utilities in both regions.
