Como Acqua srl was established in April 2014, after the Province of Como and 49 Municipalities of the Province took over the water service management. Today, Como Acqua provided water services to 516.000 people.

The public water operator is in charge of the Province water infrastructure, water supply and water treatment plants. One of their main goals is to raise awareness of the importance of water as a common resource that needs to be valued and protected by all. Along with this mission, Como Acqua srl pays special attention to the network water quality. As explained by the public operator, one of its priorities is to provide the citizen’s tap with drinking water for every need (water to drink, water for cooking, water for washing).

Enrico Pezzoli, President of Como Acqua srl, stated that by becoming a member of Aqua Publica Europea they would like to team up with APE's network members, to contribute to the network activities and to share experiences across territories. Also joining the European Public water operators networks will offer opportunities for growth the operator at the local level, Mr Pezzoli added.

Como Acqua srl joins the 66 public water operators and sanitation services operators members of Aqua Publica Europea.
