Emasesa is developing an innovative approach to achieve a more sustainable water use
As the European Commission prepares a strategy on water resilience, where efficiency will be one the main pillars, our member EMASESA (Sevilla, Spain) is developing an innovative approach—combining citizen participation and digital innovation – to drive behavioural change and achieve a more sustainable water use.
- Emasesa and Universidad Pablo de Olavide are launching a Citizen Science initiative to better understand water consumption habits.
- This pioneering project in water management invites citizens to actively participate in research and contribute to real-world solutions.
- Citizen Science is one of 45 actions within the Digital Reservoir, Digital Transformation of Emasesa project, which leverages advanced technology and artificial intelligence to tackle climate change.
- Digital Reservoir 5.0 is funded by the European Union’s Next Generation Recovery Plan and supported by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge – Government of Spain.
