SIAAP brings together stakeholders to discuss the new Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive
Our member SIAAP (the Greater Paris Sanitation Authority) hosted the second edition of RésEAUnance on 20 March in Paris. The event gathered nearly 200 stakeholders from across the water and sanitation sectors—including elected officials, public authorities, utilities, researchers, and industry representatives—for a morning of dialogue and debate on how best to respond to the challenges posed by the implementation of the new Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive (UWWTD).
The objective was to launch a collective reflection on the directive’s requirements and to begin shaping a balanced and practical roadmap for its implementation.
With opening remarks from SIAAP President François-Marie Didier, discussions addressed the significant financial, technical, and territorial implications of the revised directive, while also emphasising the importance of upholding high standards for public health and environmental protection.
