SMAT (Torino, Italy) launched its first Water Award, that will allocate to its winner a prize of €20.000 and a year’s right to use its Research Center’s fully equipped workstation.

The objective of this new initiative is to promote intelligence, creativity and technological innovation applied to the management of the integrated water service and to stimulate applied research, fostering the most brilliant ideas.

The focus topics identified this year are: ‘resilience of water systems and climate change’, ‘innovative systems for water meters remote reading’, ‘innovative systems for network losses search’, ‘innovative systems for network and systems monitoring’.

The deadline for submitting applications is 10 November and an award ceremony will take place on 20 November.
