Vivaqua launches call for applications to develop agroecological projects in two remarkable historic spaces

Our member Vivaqua (Brussels, Belgium) together with the Château de Modave (historic heritage site in Belgium) and the Terre-en-vue (supporting access to land for sustainable agriculture), has launched a call for applications to develop agroecological projects in two remarkable historic spaces.

This project forms part of Vivaqua’s biodiversity action plan. While significant progress has already been made, some agricultural pollutants persist in soil and water over long periods and can affect drinking water quality. As a public water operator, Vivaqua is actively supporting the transition towards agroecological, organic and locally rooted farming practices.

This initiative highlights how water utilities can collaborate with farmers and other local actors to address challenges that go beyond water services alone. By supporting agroecology, Vivaqua contributes to biodiversity protection, soil and water quality, and the transition towards more sustainable land use.
