In the interest of transparency, the members of VIVAQUA General Assembly decided to adapt their internal articles to make possible for citizens to attend as observers to their future meetings. This measure affirms VIVAQUA's legitimacy as a public operator, and as noted by Laurence Bovy, Managing Director, and Bernard Van Nuffel, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Assembly of VIVAQUA "strengthening the trust of citizens, and openness is one of the company's values."

This initiative is part of VIVAQUA's 2019-2024 strategic plan, aiming to optimise the public operator's quality services offered to users, subscribers, customers and the citizens. Shortly, any person domiciled on the territory of one of the shareholder municipalities will be allowed to participate as an observer and express themselves in VIVAQAUA General Meetings.
