SMAT | Access to water. Scientific progress and geopolitical crisis - 9 October, Turin
On 9 October, the Turin water operator (Italy), SMAT, will speak at the conference 'Access to water. Scientific progress and geopolitical crisis' on the challenges to ensure access to water and sanitation. This event takes place in the framework of the Biennale Democrazia, a cultural event promoted by the City of Turin and organised by the Fondazione per la Cultura Torino.
On 9 October, Mr Paolo Romano, President of the Turin water operator (Italy), SMAT, and APE's Vice-President will speak at the 'Access to water. Scientific progress and geopolitical crisis' public event that takes place in the framework of the Italian Biennale Democrazia, a cultural event promoted by the City of Turin and organised by the Fondazione per la Cultura Torino.
The panellist will discuss how to ensure citizens access to water and sanitation while managing climate change impact and threats. Responding to these threats requires rethinking the relationship between technology and politics, between society and nature.
Mr Romano will be accompanied by Emanuele Fantini (IHE Delft – Institute for Water Education) and Luca Lucentini (Istituto Superiore di Sanità). The event will be moderated by the Italian journalist Silvia Rosa-Brusin.
