Aqua Publica Europea has held exchanges with the Ukrainian Association of Water Supply and Sewerage Enterprises to better understand their needs and try to provide some support.

On 14 December, more than 100 people attended the final conference of the Horizon2020-funded research project SMART.MET to learn more about the innovative technological solutions in the field of smart water metering that were developed and tested on the field during the 5-years project.

Mainstreaming Ecological Restoration of freshwater-related ecosystems in a Landscape context: INnovation, upscaling and transformation (MERLIN) is an EU research project, coordinated by the University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany), which will seek innovative solutions based on nature to restore the functions of freshwater ecosystems and mitigate climate change.

Aqua Publica and seven of its members have been involved in the EU-funded research project SMART.MET for the development of innovative solutions for smart metering that now is reaching its final stage.

Prof Pedro Arrojo-Agudo was appointed as the new UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights on the human rights to safe drinking water and sanitation in November 2020.
