- On 17 October 2019, Aqua Publica Europea, the European Association of Public Water Operators, launched its new publication 'The Public Water Services of the Future'. Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the association proposes to outline the role that public water operators across Europe are undertaking, as actors of their communities, fully embedded into their environmental, social, economic and knowledge ecosystems, and striving to contribute to a sustainable future. Based on the long-term strategies and concrete actions of the member operators, the document addresses how they are preparing to address the great challenges of tomorrow and to harness opportunities.
- Italy 10 October 2017On the 10th of October Aqua Publica Europea and Utilitialia, the national federation of Italian utilities, organised a seminar on Water Affordability during the Festival dell Acqua in Bari (Italy). The aim of the seminar was to present the approaches to ensuring the access to water in different European countries, including Belgium, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy and Scotland.

On 1 and 2 December 2021, the association of European water regulators (WAREG) and the Italian Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and Environment (ARERA), convene the second European Forum on Regulation of Water Services. This event will take place online.
On 28 April 2021, Aqua Publica Europea organised the third webinar of its series of briefings on the opportunities for the water sector. This session was focused on Interreg Programmes opportunities for the water sector.
Prof Pedro Arrojo-Agudo was appointed as the new UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights on the human rights to safe drinking water and sanitation in November 2020. Aqua Publica had the opportunity to interview him about his mandate priorities and so how public water operators can contribute. The interview is presented in a format of five episodes.
On 30 March 2021, Aqua Publica Europea organised the second webinar of its series of briefings on the opportunities for the water sector. The second webinar "EU instruments to support investments in water" gathered European public water utilities and the financial public sector.
World Water Day is approaching and public water operators are joining this year's campaign on the value of water. Furthermore, the UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights to safe drinking water and sanitation and UN-Water has raised this question "what does water means to you?"

On 21 March 2021, Padania Acque, in collaboration with the news portal Riflessi Magazine, organise the conference "Riflessi d'Acqua Pura" to celebrate World Water Day 2021.
On 26 February 2021, Aqua Publica Europea organised a webinar on the opportunities for the water sector in the new EU research and innovation programme Horizon Europe, with Dr Panagiotis Balabanis, Head of Water Sector at Directorate-General for Research & Innovation of the European Commission and Mattia Ceracchi, Head of EU Liaison Office of APRE – Italian Agency for the Promotion of European Research.
