- On 2 June, Aqua Publica Europea co-hosted the UN Habitat's Global Water Operators Partnership Alliance (GWOPA) webinar “Emergency response, business continuity and resilience of utilities” on the response of water operators to COVID-19 emergency. The webinar gathered 152 participants from 45 countries.
- On 17 October 2019, Aqua Publica Europea, the European Association of Public Water Operators, launched its new publication 'The Public Water Services of the Future'. Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the association proposes to outline the role that public water operators across Europe are undertaking, as actors of their communities, fully embedded into their environmental, social, economic and knowledge ecosystems, and striving to contribute to a sustainable future. Based on the long-term strategies and concrete actions of the member operators, the document addresses how they are preparing to address the great challenges of tomorrow and to harness opportunities.

On the 20th of October 2016, Aqua Publica Europea (APE) organised a seminar on Water Affordability, which was attended by a wide-ranging audience of institutional representatives, experts, NGOs and other stakeholders. This seminar on water pricing, organised by APE, was attended by over 80 representatives of water operators, political and institutional entities, civil society’s organisations, practitioners and business associations.The high number and variety of participants proves that the interest for the topic is strong and wide-ranging; it also demonstrates that there is a growing demand for opportunities to publicly debate over the future of water resources management.
This report, edited by the Working Group 1 on Financing and Tariffs, argues that water pricing alone cannot reconcile the conflicting objectives of cost recovery, 'adequate' incentives and affordability.
